At 10:30 am SA time, the Men’s water polo team embarks on their opening match in Group D, facing the formidable Montenegro. Despite being labeled as big underdogs in one of the toughest groups, which includes Spain (ranked 2nd in the world) and Serbia (ranked 6th), South Africa’s unwavering determination is poised to cause some major upsets.

In the realm of Artistic Swimming, Skye Macdonald, the talented 18-year-old, once again graced the waters early this morning at 01:50 am South Africa time, competing in the Women’s Solo Free event. With incredible skill and poise, Macdonald secured an impressive 22nd position, proving her mettle on the global stage.
Bailey Heydra and Zalika Methula Shine in Synchronized Diving
Representing South Africa in the women’s 3m Synchronized Diving event, Bailey Heydra and Zalika Methula mesmerized spectators with their synchronized performance. The pair achieved an outstanding score of 220.14, placing 17th amidst tough competition.

At the World Aquatics Championships, 12 different countries have already clinched at least one medal. Leading the charge is the People’s Republic of China, dominating the medals table with an impressive count of 8, followed by Japan and Germany.
