Saturday, 18 January 2025:Β SuperSport is pleased to announce that Your World of Champions, SuperSport, has secured the broadcast rights for South Africaβs tour of Jamaica for the three-TestΒ Margaret Beckford Sunshine Netball Series taking place in Kingston, starting on Sunday 19Β January 2025 (SA time).
The SPAR Proteas finished 2024 strongly, ending the year as the No. 1 ranked team in Africa. They now take on the No. 3 ranked team in the worldΒ behind Australia and New Zealand in theΒ Sunshine Girls.Β The matches in Jamaica will be played on January 19, 23Β and 26Β at the National Indoor Sports Centre in Kingston.
The series forms part of SuperSport’s global-leading #HereForHerΒ campaign aimed at promoting and celebrating women’s sport as well as women in sport. The #HereForHerΒ campaign kicked off during the 2023 Netball World Cup that was hosted in South Africa when SuperSport became the first-ever broadcaster in the world to deploy an all-female (120-member) production crew to broadcast an international tournament.Β
