2023 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships

In an exhilarating display of strength and skill, Anneke Spies from Team South Africa has secured the nation’s first medal at the 2023 Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships. Competing in the highly competitive women’s 59kg division, Spies claimed the bronze medal with an impressive total lift of 185kg—80kg in the Snatch and 105kg in the Clean and Jerk.
