The South Africa Pool swimming team kicks off their medals quest this morning, already showcasing their talent in 5 different events.
Diving Events Conclude with Julia Vincent's Impressive Performance
Days 8 and 9 witnessed the conclusion of the Diving events, where Julia Vincent secured an impressive 10th position in the 3m springboard women’s final, scoring 297.30.

Water Polo Updates:
Men’s Team Battling for 15th/16th Position
In Water Polo, South Africa’s Men’s team faced Argentina in the 13-16 classifications match early this morning, resulting in a 6-15 loss. They’ll play their final game against China for the 15th/16th position on July 25th, 02:00am SA time.
Women’s Water Polo Advances to Classifications Games
After defeating Argentina, South Africa’s Women’s Water Polo team qualified for the Round of 16 but fell to Canada with a score of 6-21. They’ll now compete in the Classifications games for 9-12th positions against France on July 24th, 06:30am.
Exciting Moments in the Swimming Pool
The pool events commenced with thrilling heats. Rebecca Meder secured 5th place in the Women’s 200m Medley with a time of 02m:10s.95, qualifying for the semifinals at 14:07.
Trinity Hearn won her heat in the Women’s 100m Butterfly with a time of 01m:00s.27. Unfortunately not qualifying for the semifinals based on time.
In the Men’s 100m breaststroke, Michael Houlie claimed 2nd place in his heat with a time of 01m01s.58. Unfortunately also not qualifying for the semifinals based on time.
In the 50m Men’s Butterfly the legendary Roland Schoeman was in action. The 43 year old ended 5th in his heat with 24.02.
The Women’s 4x100m relay team of Aimee Canny, Emma Chelius, Milla Drakopoulos and Trinity Hearne put up a strong fight, securing 7th place in their heat with a time of 03m45s.54 in an extremely tough heat.
