JOHANNESBURG, 26 July 2026 — Sabelo Ndwandwe is the new IBO All Africa Featherweight Champion after securing a hard-fought split decision victory over Lindo Khuzwayo on Saturday night.
The 10-round title bout headlined the Knockout Chaos 2 card in Johannesburg, capping off an eight-fight event that featured a mix of emerging prospects and veteran campaigners in the South African boxing circuit.
Main Event: A Closely Contested Title Bout
The headline fight saw Ndwandwe and Khuzwayo go the distance in a highly competitive matchup. With both fighters landing significant offense over the 10 rounds, the bout was ultimately left in the hands of the judges, who awarded Ndwandwe the split decision and the vacant regional featherweight strap.
In recognition of the bout’s competitiveness, event promoter Kevin Lerena (Aquila Boxing Promotions) awarded both Ndwandwe and Khuzwayo R20,000 performance bonuses following the final bell.
Undercard Highlights and Performance Incentives
The undercard featured seven bouts across various weight classes, highlighted by a six-round Junior Bantamweight clash between experienced veterans Jackson Chauke and Gideon Buthelezi. Chauke ultimately controlled the pace to secure a decision victory over his long-time domestic rival.
