However, he maintained his form to claim second place in 10.00 seconds flat, narrowly edging out Americans Trayvon Bromell and Kenneth Bednarek, who both clocked 10.03 seconds.
South African veteran Akani Simbine continued to build his race fitness, crossing the line in fifth place with a time of 10.04 seconds. This marks a marginal improvement from his 10.05-second run last week, where he finished sixth.

The men’s 400m featured an all-African podium, led by Botswana’s Busang Collen Kebinatshipi, who set a new world lead and meeting record with a time of 43.92 seconds. Zambia’s Muzala Samukonga followed in second place at 44.04 seconds.
South Africa’s Zakithi Nene claimed third place, recording a season’s best time of 44.40 seconds. Nene’s performance kept him well ahead of the chasing pack, successfully holding off competitors like Chris Bailey of the United States, who finished fourth in 44.70 seconds.
